An on-prem deployment of Mapwize allows the installation of the entire Mapwize platform on the IT infrastructure of the client. The entire hosting and data are then managed by the client.
Mapwize provides a set of Docker images for all its different services, web front-end, and background workers, that can run on most Linux distributions.
Mapwize relies on 3 storages: a MongoDB database, a Redis database, and a File storage. The hosting, clustering, scaling, and backup of the databases is the client's responsibility.
Mapwize releases a few times per year new versions of its on-prem services. Those releases include the scripts required to migrate the data. The deployment of the new version as well as the data migration is the responsibility of the client.
If local storage of the map data is critical to ensure resilience and performance, but the map editing can be kept in the cloud on Mapwize secure infrastructure, a much simpler and cost-effective solution is to use Mapwize Mirrors.
On-prem deployments are limited to large-scale enterprise accounts with multi-year commitments. Please talk to a sales representative for details.
